Oooh honey I am SOO sorry. When I get sick, my glands get SO swollen...I feel like my head will explode. Seriously. The only thing that works for me, is resting. I don't talk, and I try not to starve myself...cold broth somtimes does the trick...and drink some Bottled Root Beer. Get the bottled one, NOT the canned, because the bottled ones have wintergreen in it. It'll help with the swelling, and also it helps numb the pain.

Fresh garlic. Cut it up into little pieces, and mix it with honey. It tastes VILE, so have some water ready. Just swallow a giant spoonful of it (it will hurt, but trust me, once a day and it'll be worth it)

Or if you simply can't swallow it, crush it up and spread it on a cool washcloth, and set it on your chest. The fumes might burn your eyes a little, so be careful.

Also, some chloraseptic spray may be in order, if you have any. Trust me about sore throats, I am the QUEEN of allergies. Take care, get some sleep ;)

I know how you feel...about not using drugs you don't need. I usually don't even take PAIN killers, unless I feel like I'm dying. In which case, they can't hurt any.

But yeah, maybe you should go back to your doctor. It's probably insomnia. Also, find something constructive to do when you can't sleep; draw a picture, write a story, read a book, something that makes your mind work. Sometimes it'll tire you out just enough to get you to sleep ;)

Well hun, you're right about your body hating you. It's designed to run on 7-9 hours of sleep each night. Normally I would not suggest this, but have you looked into sleeping pills? Something mild, just to help you get to sleep at night.  Take care ;) God Bless,

no prob. :] ohh, me too! lol. i used to have blue streaks myself, but because i bleached my hair before i put the dye in to make the color stand out, i have blonde streaks now because all my blue has faded away. :P i'm thinking about having it done again, but idk...i'm thinking maybe i'll try black tips this time or something... :|
